This is to protest against the campaign of ‘deceit and deliberate lies’ by the ruling party in Parliament.
The congress party is all geared up to highlight the issues which are of national interest and to save democracy in India. The stand-off in the Parliament still continues between the ruling BJP party the main opposition party, now Congress has something different to highlight issues against the government. The Congress party on Saturday announced the gherao of the Parliament the same way last year they have done in protest to the controversial Land Acquisition Bill.
This march called as ‘Save Democracy’ by the Congress party will be led by party president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi. Senior party members and workers are also expected to be part of this rally which will commence from Jantar Mantar and end at Parliament.
Congress Spokesperson Mr. Surjewala said this gherao or besiege is also in protest for the attempts made by Modi government to topple the elected state government of Arunachal Pradesh and Haryana. They will also raise the issue of severe drought and governments inefficiency to tackle situation which has affected 40 crore people in India.
