The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday Ordered GHMC to demolish two illegal constructions that belong to Quthbullapur MLA , K.P. Vivekananda by June 15.
The court also directed the authorities of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to take actions against all the officers, who failed to inspect and stop the building of the constructions and file a report by the same date. The court strictly said that the reports along with the images of the demolished sight have to resubmitted to it by June 15.
The court also refused Narayana Educational Society’s plea to give them some time as they are running a college in the building. The college was asked to vacate the premises by June 1.
K.M. Pratap, a resident of Quthbullapur had filed a writ petition in the court about the MLA’s illegal construction beside his own plot, which came out to be true during the court’s hearing.
The High Court Judge C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy observed that this case is the perfect example of how a law maker conveniently breaks the law himself, helped by the authorities, creating the feeling among have-nots that the law is against them and doesn’t work the same for the Haves.
MLA Vivekananda was recently in news as he had changed his yellow attire to pink.
